Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) is a new EU Regulation aimed at providing investors with key facts and figures about investment products (including insurance investment products) through a standardised document called Investment Option Document (IOD).
From 1 January 2018 entities manufacturing or distributing PRIIPS will be required to provide investors with a key information document (KID) in good time before clients make an investment decision. The KID is not a marketing document, it is a pre-contractual document and its provision is mandatory for sales to investors.
Key features of the KID include information such as the product’s aggregated costs and risks, thereby allowing retail investors to easily compare similar products offered by different issuers.
Product KIDs and the relating investment options are available per market below. To download documents, please select the market based on the EU residency of the policyholder.
