Karine Verbruggen takes over as new CEO of Swiss Life Luxembourg. Theo Iaponas, who has held the position since 2017, becomes CEO of Swiss Life International Division.

Swiss Life Luxembourg has just appointed Karine Verbruggen as CEO. Karine will continue to develop the company’s business strategy for growth and efficiency. She will strengthen the company’s presence in the market, deepening collaboration with business partners and build on Swiss Life existing strengths to leverage the range of products, services and tools. Another key part of Karine’s drivers will be to cultivate and promote Swiss Life’s values internally and externally.

Karine has been with Swiss Life Luxembourg since 2016. Before taking the role of CEO, she held the pivotal position of Chief Transformation Officer and led the onboarding of elipsLife after its acquisition in 2021. Karine has also been part of the Global Employee Benefits Management Team since July 2022; she managed the Employee Benefits Operations department in Luxembourg for four years and the Business Engineering team for two years.
