We are pleased to announce the appointment of Virginie Lagrange and Réjean Besner as independent directors to the Board of Directors of Swiss Life (Luxembourg) SA. Their appointments mark a significant milestone in ensuring transparency, expertise and better decision-making as we continue to grow our business.
On the Board of Directors of Swiss Life Luxembourg, Virginie Lagrange will be acting as member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee, providing valuable insight and oversight on financial transparency, regulatory compliance and sound internal controls. Her background and extensive industry experience make her a great asset to our organisation.
Réjean Besner will serve both as an Independent Director and as a Member of the Audit Committee.

As an Independent Director of Swiss Life Luxembourg Board of Directors, Réjean Besner will be acting in the capacity of both an Independent Director and a Member of the Audit Committee.
Virginie Lagrange
With 30 years of experience in the banking and investment fund industry in Luxembourg, Ms Lagrange brings a wealth of expertise, leadership and a proven track-record to our Board.
Virginie is currently Chair of ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs). She is an ILA and INSEAD certified Director, a former certified Réviseur d’Entreprises and she sits on the Boards of Directors, Audit/Risk Committees and Remuneration/Nomination Committees of several banks, insurance companies and management companies.
Réjean Besner
Réjean Besner has more than 35 years of experience in the life and health insurance and reinsurance industry. His leadership and contributions have made a significant impact within the industry and his experience will bring a wealth of industry knowledge bringing a unique perspective to our Board.
From 2018 to 2022 Réjean served as CRO for the Swiss Re Life Capital business unit, ensuring effective risk mitigation strategies. He is a board member of ACA (Luxembourg Insurance Association), Vice-President of the Institut Luxembourgeois des Actuaires and Vice-Chair of the ECOFIN committee of Insurance Europe. He also serves as Dirigeant Agréé for two Luxembourg-entities of the Swiss Re Group.
