Swiss Life Global Solutions and Generali Group establish the new global leader in employee benefits by combining their respective networks. Below you will find the answers to the most common questions.

The goal is to create added value for all key stakeholders—clients, partners, brokers, and employees—by combining strengths. This strategic partnership enables capabilities (e.g.: global offerings or products,  “Network of Choice”),  that no single entity could offer alone. By joining forces, we deliver enhanced capabilities, broader reach, and innovative solutions that benefit everyone involved.

The new Network will initially operate under the existing brands during a transition period.
Full integration is expected by the end of May 2026.

Ludovic Bayard, CEO of the Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network, has been appointed CEO of the new network.

Michael Hansen, Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Life Network and Frederik Van Den Eede, Chief Commercial Officer at GEB, will jointly lead the commercial area, to ensure a seamless transition and continued service excellence for all clients and partners.

The leadership team brings together executives from both organisations, ensuring continuity and a balanced strategic vision.

Additionally, GEB will welcome our experienced Swiss Life Network employees in their teams once the transaction is closed.

This strategic partnership will not impact the solutions currently in force.
All existing agreement(s) will continue to operate seamlessly.
Over time, your company will benefit from access to a broader network of local insurers, expanding your choice of both local and global solutions.

The existing renewal process remains unchanged for the upcoming cycle. You will continue to work with your usual Network representatives.

Your current agreement with the Network remains valid and in force. In the upcoming months, we may contact you to review any administrative updates and/or evaluate new business opportunities.

The new Network will welcome all existing partners of Swiss Life Network (SLN).
We are experienced in working with multiple partners in the same country, and will continue to do so with the professinalism you have come to expect.
Changing Network Partners may happen over time as part of the normal course of business, reflecting market evolution and client needs.
Neither SLN and GEB plan on cancelling any of its current Partner Agreements.

A key strategic advantage is that existing Swiss Life Network (SLN) partners will gain access to reinsurance, enabling the cession to captives. E.g.: SLN Pooling clients can now have access to a Captive solution.
SLN Partners will continue to offer Pooling and, when requested by Global Clients, you will be able to offer a Captive Solution (upon signing a reinsurance agreement with GEB).

The exact setup will vary by country and will be tailored to the specific characteristics of each market, always with the best interests of all stakeholders in mind.

When needed, SLN Partners can also access GEB reinsurance capabilities to support their local pooled business.

Currently there are no plans to merge the product landscapes.
Over time, product harmonisation may become the preferred approach.

Data secrecy and privacy is of utmost priority.  At no time, data will be exchanged between partners.
Data from a given partner will be considered and treated as strictly confidential and under no circumstances shared with other Partners.

Swiss Life Network (SLN) Partners can continue to rely on their existing reporting and dashboards. In the long term, the combined expertise will be leveraged to harmonise the offering and further innovate reporting and dashboards with the aim of enhancing stakeholders' experience.

Depending on the source of the business opportunity / request, different procedures shall apply.

  • If both Partners are invited to quote by the local broker and/ or client, for a local subsidiary of a common Global Client of Swiss Life Network (SLN) and GEB, a neutral treatment (level playing field basis) will be assured.
  • The same applies for new business opportunities for a New Global Client to be acquired after the implementation of the new setup (Network of Choice).
  • For new business opportunities for a local subsidiary of an existing Global Client of SLN (and not a GEB Client), the SLN Partner will be treated as preferred.
  • The same goes for new business opportunities for local subsidiaries of an existing GEB Global Client (who is not a SLN Global Client), where GEB Partner will be treated as preferred.

The new commercial team, regrouping skilled employees from both networks, will continue to service clients and partners to ensure seamless coordination and continued service excellence.

Your existing contact person will continue to assist you, thereby providing you with continuity and service excellence.

We look forward to discussing this strategic partnership together and unlock additional opportunities for our common growth.
